Established in October 2007, CITEC was jointly invested and organized by China Nuclear Power Technology Research Institute and TECNATOM. Since January 2012, the equity and management right of China Nuclear Power Technology Research Institute was transferred to Suzhou Nuclear Power Research Institute; it is the first large joint venture enterprise set up in high-technology field by China and Spain. The corporation has a registered capital of 170 million yuan, China and Spain invested 75% and 25% respectively.
CITEC is a specialized company aiming at supplying professional in-service inspection and non-destructive testing technology research and development, technical service. Through in-service inspection technology transfer and cooperation with TECNATOM, CITEC possesses the capability of automated inspection equipment design, development, manufacture, operation and maintenance as well as technology updating, and masters in-service inspection techniques and methods for various types of reactor nuclear power plants. According to different in-service inspection codes requirements, CITEC can supply in-service inspection service for different types of nuclear power units, including the reactor pressure vessel body inspection, dissimilar metal weld inspection, steam generator tube inspection and other major inspection items.
